Since moving the label to Japan, Tokyo-based Boys Co Ltd have reinvigorated Danton, inflecting inherited 20th-century French workwear shapes in a contemporary Japanese idiom. Many of the label's most recent collections riff on the label's workwear pedigree, playfully engaging notions of work and leisure.
Some pieces evince a certain timelessness so that updating them for the contemporary moment is less a matter of adding or subtracting certain elements as much as it is of a subtle adjustment of the shape and proportions. The Danton workers' jacket is one such piece. Modeled after the Danton jackets worn by French railway workers throughout the 20th century, the Danton Women's Coverall Jacket 8933 in Ecru proudly brings attention to this historied silhouette. This short jacket features a pointed collar, front button closure, three patch pockets on the front, cuffs with button closure, vertical back yoke, straight hem, and the embroidered Danton Red Diamond label appliquéd on the chest.
Made in Japan from 100% cotton.
Model is 172cm and wears size 36.
