While hard-rock may not often be associated with streetwear, Neighborhood cast a wide net when it comes to subcultural influences and potential collaborators, with reverence for any who have expressed unity of vision and purposefulness. With this in mind, it's easy to understand why the label would be drawn to legendary British hard rock band Motörhead. Influencing subsequent generations of artists across punk and metal genres, this collaboration pays homage to the band's frontman, the late Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister, reimagining the band's iconic "war-pig" skull motif with one of the label's most detailed ceramic incense chambers yet and select pieces of apparel.
The Neighborhood x Motörhead SS C-Tee features two large graphic prints on the front and back, employing slogans and motifs associated with the celebrated British hard rock band to simple yet striking effect. The front of this tee is emblazoned with a large graphic print of the band's "war-pig" screaming tusked skull motif with the Motörhead logo above and Neighborhood branding below stylised with the famous Motörhead typeface and umlaut over the 'o'. The back is screen-printed with the words "Everything louder than everything else"—the name of Motörhead's sixth studio album—accompanied by a spades suit symbol beneath it, a reference to Motörhead's most successful album and its title song, 1980's "Ace of Spades." Here in a stark black colourway—Lemmy would surely have it no other way—this regular-fit, short-sleeve t-shirt also features a ribbed crew neckline.
