Made in their factory in Koryo-cho, located in Nara prefecture, an area of Japan long renowned for its premium sock manufacturing thanks to the vintage sewing machines that have been steadily brought to the area from the USA over the last century. With such machines at their disposal, Rototo has gained a reputation for some of the finest socks in Japan, emphasizing premium yarns, comfort, and an unrestricted exploration of patterns and classic styles alike. The first Rototo season available at Double Double showcases the label’s versatility with animal print, colour blocking, and sports stripes making appearances across the range.
The Rototo MOF Socks are at once contemporary and timeless, boldly toying with texture and shape. Here in the dark green colourway, this sock is constructed from a unique rayon-wool-alpaca-synthetic blend fabric, rendered in two contrasting textures: super soft-to-the-touch pile on the leg and top side of the foot and ribbed construction on the underside of the foot. There is a subtle colour contrast between these two textural panels, with the former in dark green and the latter in an earthy brown. These impeccably crafted socks also feature a wide, ribbed cuff and a thin contrast elasticated blue band around the leg opening.
Made in Japan from 33% acrylic, 18% nylon, 17% cotton, 16% rayon, 12% wool, 2% alpaca, 2% polyurethane.
